The property is on the St Merryn Holiday Village which provides a shop, bar and Indian restaurant. A convenient hourly bus service runs from the site into St Merryn, several of the bays/beaches, Padstow and Newquay.

The St Merryn parish is famous for having “seven bays for seven days” offering beautiful sandy beaches, surfing, rockpools and caves. The historic fishing port of Padstow is a short drive away, with its many shops, restaurants, galleries, speed boat trips etc.

Local places to visit include Bedruthan Steps, Watergate Bay, Newquay and Padstow.

Further afield are the Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Helligan and Tintagel, famous for the Arthurian legends, castle and Old Post Office.

Bikes can be hired from Bodmin, Padstow and Wadebridge; these three towns make up the famous Camel Trail which can be explored on bike or foot. Wetsuit and surf board hire is available in St Merryn, with surf schools in Newquay and some of the nearby bays. There are three golf courses in the vicinity.

The village of St Merryn is approximately 1 mile away and offers a post office, two general stores including off licence facilities, newsagents, butchers, bakery, delicatessen, two pubs, several takeaways, including a fish and chip shop, two restaurants, a petrol station and doctors’ surgery. Larger supermarkets can be found in Wadebridge and Padstow.
